Workmanship & Materials Warranty

 

1. Workmanship Warranty

Rework Painting warrants that all workmanship carried out will be free from defects caused by poor application or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion, unless otherwise stated in writing.

 

This includes, but is not limited to:

    •    Peeling, flaking, or blistering caused by improper preparation or application

    •    Noticeable defects in sprayed or painted finishes resulting directly from workmanship

 

2. Materials Warranty

All paints, coatings, and materials used are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty only. [Your Business Name] does not provide a separate warranty on materials themselves.

 

This warranty does not cover:

    •    Manufacturing defects in paints or coatings

    •    Colour variation, sheen variation, or natural fading over time

    •    Product failure caused by environmental conditions, moisture, heat, or poor ventilation

    •    Incompatibility with existing substrates that were not disclosed or visible prior to work commencing

 

Where a manufacturer accepts liability for a defective product, any remedy will be limited to the replacement of the material only. Labour costs associated with reapplication are not covered unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

3. What We Will Do

If a valid workmanship warranty issue arises within the warranty period, we will:

    •    Inspect the affected area

    •    Repair or re-apply the defective workmanship at no cost

 

This warranty is limited strictly to the affected areas and does not include full redecoration unless deemed necessary by us.

 

4. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by:

    •    Normal wear and tear

    •    Structural movement, cracks, damp, leaks, condensation, or water ingress

    •    Pre-existing surface issues not visible or disclosed prior to work starting

    •    Damage caused by other trades, occupants, pets, or third parties

    •    Poor maintenance, misuse, or cleaning with abrasive or unsuitable products

 

5. Client Responsibilities

To maintain warranty validity, the client must:

    •    Allow adequate curing time before cleaning or heavy use

    •    Maintain suitable environmental conditions (ventilation, moisture control, temperature)

    •    Notify us in writing of any suspected defects as soon as reasonably possible

 

Failure to comply may invalidate this warranty.

 

6. Limitations

This warranty applies only to workmanship and is non-transferable.

No liability is accepted for indirect or consequential losses.

 

7. Inspection & Access

Reasonable access must be provided to inspect and, if necessary, carry out remedial work during normal working hours.
