Payment Terms & Conditions

1. Quotation Validity

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Prices may be subject to change after this period.

 

2. Deposit

A deposit of 20% of the total quoted value is required to:

    •    Secure booking dates

    •    Confirm acceptance of the quotation

    •    Cover initial materials and preparation

 

Work will not commence until the deposit has been received and cleared.

 

3. Stage Payments (if applicable)

For larger projects, staged payments may be required. Typically these payments will be to the sum of no less than £1000 and will be due on a weekly basis until the total amount has been paid in full.

 

Failure to make a stage payment may result in work being paused until payment is received.

 

4. Final Payment

The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the agreed works, unless otherwise stated in writing.

 

Final payment must be made before handover or within 24 hours of completion.

 

Any snagging that is required will only be attended to once final payment has been made and received. 

 

5. Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods:

    •    Bank transfer

    •    Cash (by prior agreement only)

 

All payments must be made in full, without deduction.

 

6. Late Payments

Any overdue payments may be subject to:

    •    Suspension of further work

    •    Late payment charges of [e.g. 5% per month] or statutory interest (where applicable)

 

Continued non-payment may result in recovery action, with associated costs passed on to the client.

 

7. Variations & Additional Work

Any additional work or changes requested that are not included in the original quotation will:

    •    Be priced separately

    •    Require written or verbal approval

    •    Be payable in addition to the original contract value

 

8. Cancellations

If the client cancels the project after booking confirmation:

    •    The deposit is non-refundable

    •    Additional costs already incurred (materials, preparation, labour) may be chargeable

 

9. Ownership of Materials & Work

All materials and completed work remain the property of Ashley Rutter (Rework Painting) until payment has been received in full.

 

10. Acceptance

Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of:

    •    The quotation

    •    These payment terms

    •    The accompanying warranty terms
